Our Childcare Service is following The Curiosity Approach Philosophy which provides space for curiosity, awe and wonder.
Our Services:
Pre-school (from 2.5 years old)
School Age Childcare (primary school age)
- Sessional – both private or under ECCE free pre-school (3 hours daily)
- Part-time pre-school (5 hours daily)
Full time pre-school - Afterschool
- Breakfast Club (this option cannot be accessed independently)
- Out-term camps

Lux Playschool is such an incredible asset to have on our doorstep in Moate, I feel very lucky my kids got to go here. Maryna and her staff ensure an environment of fun, kindness and learning with such ease. My children run into their arms and the festival style grounds with great excitement. The ethos of the playschool is such that any child would be happy exploring the outdoors or playing with the many interesting objects indoors. I've been amazed how much the kids have grown emotionally, socially and intellectually by attending but most of all I've been amazed to watch my kids be so nurtured and cared for by the staff of Lux. I'll be forever grateful for my family's experience here and can't recommend enough.

My little girl started in August 2023, from quiet, anxious girl she became very confident and never stops chatting, latley even to strangers! Girls at Lux are fantastic, honestly couldn't even imagine a better care for my child. Always patience, always there to listen and talk with children and adults.
She is on holidays now but every day asks to go to school. We can't wait for her second year to start!

My boy is constantly encouraged to be independent while also being helped and looked after to such a high standard along the way.
He can completely be himself and looks forward to school every morning.

Our son joined Lux at the beginning of May 2023, in these short few weeks we have seen him transform into a confident, capable independent young boy who has just graduated and is heading into Junior Infants. The Management and staff are friendly, loving, professional and fill the children's day with learning and fun, each and everyday and the best part is that the children are outdoors! Embracing nature and learning through exploration and play! The activities planned are based solely from interactions and observations from the children and their needs!
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend any parent to send their child to Lux it's a place where magic and wonder come alive!

Lux provides excellent care and a brilliant home away from home service in a wonderful outdoor setting(which is brilliant for the children to get fresh air as much as they do) . Lux provides excellent care and a brilliant home away from home service in a wonderful outdoor setting(which is brilliant for the children to get fresh air as much as they do) .
